A valid passport is needed as well as a prepaid airline or bus ticket to leave Costa Rica within a 90 day time frame. Patients traveling from US and Canada and most European countries do not need a VISA.

 There are 2 international airports, Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) is our major airport located 20 minutes away from our facility and San José (Costa Rica´s capital) and the Daniel Oduber International Airport (LIR) located in the north pacific area of the country, located 4 hours away

It won´t be a problem !!! you will find a lot of people that speak English since Costa Rica is a country que vive del turismo. And we will always be a call/text or email away just in case !!!

 We offer a private transportation service for airport pick up and drop off as well as to and from the clinic to the hotel as long as you stay in the Escazu area. Taxis are red colored in Costa Rica and are well identified. Uber works great and if you will like to use public transportation as buses and/or train are very unexpensive

Costa Rica´s currency is the Colon, but US dollars are accepted almost everywhere as well as major credit cards as VISA, Mastercard and American Express. Most ATMs dispend local currency and US dollars. It is very helpful to call your credit card company in order to avoid inconveniences when using you card during your trip.

Costa Rica offers a great variety of restaurants, from fast food ( McDoald´s, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Subway, etc) to traditional food, Italian, japanese, china, sushi, Indian, restaurants.

 Yes you will !!! Depending on your stay, you can get both, dental work and vacations, just tells us what you´ll be interested on visiting and we will help you with information, booking or anything you may need

Yes there are !!! It will be important to bring with you sunblock, insect repelant, hiking shoes and/or sneakers, and a windbreaker (in case you take any tours to the beach, volcanos, forest, etc)

We also recommend our patients to get a traveler insurance that will cover for accidents, emergencies, flight cacellation, lost baggage, food poisoning, etc
